WELCOME TO
MY BLOG
I enjoy blogging so much that I have two other blogs:
and I also co-host Spiritual Sundays
WHY I LOVE TO BLOG
is the theme of this Blog Party!
THANKS TO JOY AT CUPID’S CHARM FOR HOSTING OUR BLOG PARTY TODAY.
I enjoy blogging for many reasons. Here are a few:
I have always loved to create.
- Beginning when I was just four years old my older cousin (she was 7) and I made crepe paper dresses for ourselves. I can still remember it.
- I started embroidering when I was about 7 and started crocheting shortly after that.
- I learned to knit when I was about 13 and have knitted sweaters, socks, scarves, afghans (known as throws now) and other items.
- I’ve been sewing since I was about 10. I learned to sew on a treddle sewing machine making doll clothes.
- I’ve also made quilts, curtains, drapes, rugs, and clothes, of course.
- In the 70s I did a lot of decoupaging.
- In the 80s I made porcelain dolls. I started a blog just for them. The link is on my sidebar.
- In the 90s I was into stained glass.
- Before I got “into” computers, I did some rubber stamping, scrapbooking, and have always loved photography.
- Then I got into doing computer graphics and that is one of the things I enjoy about blogging, is creating headers, buttons, etc.
The best thing about blogging has been connecting with so many other wonderful bloggers. If you are reading this, you are probably one of them.
Another big reason I’m enjoying blogging is that it gives me a good place to share my faith. Starting the Spiritual Sundays blog along with Ginger of Enchanting Cottage has given me a chance to meet a lot of other Christians who also love to share their faith. Sharing with these wonderful people each week has been such a blessing in my life, and judging by the comments made by others, it is a blessing to many. I am thankful to God for the opportunity to be able to do this.
I’ll end my part of the party by posting this sketch of Jesus and two women. I have had the basic picture on my computer since I was a church secretary, and “dressed it up” a bit for this presentation.
