PINK FOR MOTHER’S DAY!
The bag from Brighton held a beautiful pair of earrings. I love the darling card with quail on it, reminding me of the quail family that was living in our yard. The pretty white quail holder is from Anthropology. Here’s a closer up view with the new earrings in it.
The pretty pink Carnation is from the Outback Steak House. That’s where the kids took us for my Mother’s Day dinner. And here is the dessert which we enjoyed at our daughter’s house.

And here is the slice I ate. Yummm!

Do you know about FRENCH LESSON FRIDAY at a la parisienne? It’s a fun thing to do. Today’s lesson included the color PINK. Guess what the French word for pink is? Rose. However, it is pronounced like it starts with “h”, not “r”. So it sounds more like “hose”. I found a site that has audio pronunciation for French words. Here is the link for that if you would like to check it out. Most of the words are not pronounced the way you would think. http://french.about.com/library/pronunciation/bl-audiodico-b.htm
C’est samedi rose. (It’s Pink Saturday). Merci beaucoup.

I had two Brighton bags for Mother’s Day also! My husband bought me a beautiful set…and my son started me one of the charm bracelets! I can never part with my Brighton bags….silly, I know. But I just love that store!

My own DIL spent her Mother’s Day weekend helping cut up and dispose of wet carpeting throughout their home … result of freak flooding in Montgomery, AL. Hopefully, we’ll be able to make it up to her next month when the whole family gets together. First time in two years!!
Hope today brings you lots of reasons to smile!
You had a blessed day with your blessings. I especially like the little white quail, and so appropriate for you now. I wish I could make that ice cream cake dish. yum yum.
We are having a wonderful, slow rain today. I have to get out and help with a shower for a friend or I might retreat from the rest of the world today.
Blessings,
Jennifer
